There is always an element of fear with freedom-Embrace it
Katherine Kemp Velez
A timely and powerful expression of the emotional challenges and demands a family experiences during the difficult time in history following WWII and the internment of Japanese Americans. This author does a fantastic job of revealing emotional truths never before expressed in history books. As the story unfolds, readers emphatically feel the devastating effects that fear, justified or unjustified, can wreak on fellow human beings. Sachi became an inspiration to me; a woman who I will never forget.
